Disaster last night.
One more 'game' to go.

Couldn't believe it yesterday, was killing time in Leeds waiting until the train home after the shocking time at Elland Road, saw Guiseley 3-0 up in no time at all. Then 1-0 Shaymen just before half time, well you knew it was coming, a team needing to win against a team with nothing to play for. Then bang 1-1, and with all that going on, chaos at Guiseley, possibly another route to safety, but not to be.
Will hurt the fans massively right now, but I'm sure it'll all be forgotten next season watching a "winning" team. More local fixtures too which will be a bonus!
Sure the lads will pick themselves up for the Wembley final!

1 week to go,
I can taste those fish & chips in BLAKELY'S already
Win or lose their play off spot, I can't see the Grimsby lot being over enthused about Wembley .
I'm looking forward to it. It should be a great day out for the Shaymen & their faithfull 1,200/1,300
(I'm aware they have sold 7000+ ! I half think it might be better if the majority of those stay away after some of the comments I have read in the social media since that disappointing draw at the weekend)

I once had a signed Grimsby Town ball, would be worth £1000's if they win the FA Trophy
Played golf with a Town fan tonight, his description of the final, it's a bit like going to a Birthday party after a funeral

I can relate to that.
The Old fellas funeral was a bit sombre, But.
Those who went to Rastrick bowling club afterwards
made it a right good end to the day..just like the Old fella would have wanted.
I'd like the Shaymen to triumph obviously . But it won't dampen my day whatso ever win or lose. I'll let the players carry that burden if it all goes wrong on the day.
I'm one of the few left in this reality who will be still there even if they lose. And I'll give Grimsby a wave too,
I remember Challenge cup finals, & FA Cup finals where ALL the fans remained, and applauded both teams after the game. marvelous.
You watch the FA final, The losers end will be empty by the time the winners have received the Cup
I'll be there in Brighouse from Thursday onwards Ken

Grimsby !
Two Wembley finals in 8 days...Sunday to Sunday.
I wonder if they'll bother with the FA Trophy final either way ?
WIn the play-off final, & they won't be overly bothered about the 'other' Cup. + the added expense..tough for some.
Lose the Play-off final. hmmm Gutted (as fans) & skint.
That could work in Halifax ' favour both ways.
Imagine walking out to a final with hardly any support there compared to the week before..
(The Hereford & Morpeth support will be long gone too)
Come on SHAYMEN.
Did 'em 4-2 a few weeks ago.
The revival starts NOW

Grimsby's playoff final opponents Forest Green had their own final last night- http://www.gloucestercitizen.co.uk/Forest-Green-Rovers-beat-Bishop-s-Cleeve-GFA/story-29250839-detail/story.html
Now they've won the big one, they probably won't be too fussed about Wembley either

Yes.
I was in Brighouse FCHT, I couldn't log on over there (?) Why I don't know.
All water under the bridge now,
But what a terrific day out, Enjoyed every minute of it.
(I frequented the 'Barge' while I was in 'cool, overcast, traffic congested Brighouse !)
