I could be wrong on this, but judging from what I'vé seen so far, based on his comments and enthusiasm, I think we've picked up quite a colourful character in the form in Ryan Lowe. These guys are great to have around and really lift team spirit. Both him and Prutton seem to be somewhat extrovert and should make the team much more visually attractive with their antics.
I sing in a rock group and recently found it necessary to make a couple of changes in the line up. My keyboard player was heavily influenced by salsa music and was very boring on-stage and the guitarrist was far too heavy for our style of play (retro rock from 70's and 80's) and again, a walking plank. Like Wednesday, I recently replaced them both with 2 experienced journeymen who adapted well to our kind of music (style of play). Both of these guys have proved to be very exciting on-stage, the music has become far more compact and the result has been an increase in public demand.
In short, we now have quite a few players in this new-look Wednesday who have, or will, adapt more to Meggo's style of play, will be more attractive to the eye, will make for a better atmosphere both on and off the field and will get the results we need to get up this table.
Added to this, we now have a winger in the form of Marshall who is getting the best out of Madine. We have great partnerships developing onfield in the pairings of Semedo and Prutton, Jones and Batth and hopefully Lowe and Madine up front! We have a very in-form Buxton, a very reliable back-up goalkeeper (which may prove essencial considering Weaver's recent fitness record) and yet another colourful character, in the form of JJ, waiting to make his reappearance on the wing.
We're yet to find out what COG brings to the table, we have a young, future, bright light, entering the fray of international duty, in the shape of Palmer and a very good utility player, Lines, waiting on the sidelines.
Meggo has very recently stated that there may be yet another addition to the squad, so personally, I think we're in for a few pleasant surprises and a good few onfield performances worthy of our numerous, faithful, vocal, die-hard supporters who follow our beloved team both far and wide!
Let's hope Monday's test in front of the Sky t.v. cameras will be the start of a long, entertaining and successful future. UTO!
