However, it seems this season he went all out but is that true? Either the above three didnt cut it as well as Perreira but he started the season relying heavily on experience and Martial staked a claim by having a worldie of a debut. The injuries forced him to play Varella, CBJ, Love and then he discovered TFM and Rashford, again almost by stumbling.
I want to argue that without injuries, most of the youth players would NOT have had a chance. one incident that angers me from yesterday was his replacement of TFM after conceding a somewhat debatable pen. Seriously, it seemed to me the young man felt he was blamed for that. Still, perhaps considering how many times Lukaku had a look in, he wasnt at the races as per usual but that was true for the entire back 4.
