Biggest matches in your Club's history?

Admin if you could multi-board? sincere question. Maximum of 5 matches. And i am basing mine on what i perceive to be some of the longer term effects they had on my club.

I happen to take an approach to this one that my defy logic for a couple of them.

1) 1983 against Bolton away. Anything less than a win that day and I don't think we'd still exist. Yes i do believe it were that serious, even with how stubborn Bates was.

2) 2003 Liverpool at home. I don't know if it were as serious as going out of business, but apparently Birch told the players it was. I think we would definitlely have had to part with our 'top players' had we not got at least a point in that game.

3) 1994 FA Cup Replay against Sheffield Wednesday. I genuinely think it was this game and the cup run that started other things. I witnessed my team play European football for the first time in my life.

4) 2012 Champions League Semi Final second leg. Without it, i think we may have lost out on Hazard etc. I certainly don't think we'd be "defending Champions" now. No matter what people say, coming back from 2-0 down with 10 men at the Nou Camp is not easy.

5) 1997 FA Cup final. First major trophy in 26 years. Best feeling ever and gave us all a feeling of hope of where the club could be heading.

Lord Noble, have you "alerted a moderator" to ask Admin for multi-board?

1-0 Mark Robins - FA Cup v Forest. The board said they weren't ready to sack Fergie at all and knew it was a processor something of that description. We'll never know if it saved the job as the press said. But it helped us on the way to a glorious run of trophies.

Sheffield Wednesday 1993 - 2-1 - saw some older kids on the school field. Asked what score was and they said 0-1 Wednesday, 70 minutes gone. By time I'd got home Steve Bruce had applied the magic and teletext said 2-1 United. Massive, massive game.

Barcelona 2-1 -1991- leading on from the FA Cup we won our first European trophy on my watch. Excellent night and Mark Hughes with two goals. The second being pretty special.

Arsenal - 2-1 (AET) FA Cup reply - after a gruelling first leg in what was a very gruelling season leading starting way back with some CL qualifiers the most iconic and successful season in our history was unfolding. Much lauded game that had everything. Watch the whole 90 if you haven't, or at least extended highlights. Absolutely heart-pumpingly brilliant. Being only 6 I'd forgotten the replay was on. Got in, was scrolling through teletext's TV pages and saw MOTD. Checked the description to be stunned it was United. So watched MOTD without knowing the score. Which was a great experience. God knows what it was like live. They still sing about it today.

Gonna wait for some other suggestions before I commit to the 5th.

You got it brother. You don't have to include whinging just because it says complain though haha.

Just pop the question via complaint. If it isn't offensive and ha grounds for multi board, you should be ok.

Believe it or not I would almost consider the 94 cup final. I know it was a loss but for me it certaibly seemed the day Chelsea Football Club believed in itself and started to do more.

Westy

I did nearly choose that game and covered my base with "cup run". But at the time Sheff Weds were becoming a bit of a "bogey" team. And even though i always believe, it felt like most thought our chance had gone at the Bridge.

^^ hard to believe that eh? Where did it all go wrong . . .

Some pretty ignorant United fans on here.

THe first game played after the Munich crash vs Weds was the most important in the clubs history.
The fact it was played and we put a team out gave us our glorious future

99 play off final. Without that win, we'd be nowhere near where we are now.

United States recentish champ league quarters and semis v Chelsea and arsenal. Pure bliss and the good old days when we were still top boy.
