Chelsea won the lottery and bought trophies the fact youve been through every top manager to secure a few more just shows how poor your club really is

You can't buy titles, you have to win them, earn them; Leicester proved that this season. Sure, money helps but it's not everything. Spurs just don't have it in them to win the league... some teams don't. Oh well.

Enjoy the Wummery....

While we will be playing in the CL next season, Hafi will be looking forward to a Thursday night trip to the Azerbaijani champs, and numerous flat Sunday fixtures following it, with uncerrainty of new coach to boot.

Chelsea can also enjoy an extra league cup fixture, maybe a trip to Scunthorpe, safe in the knowledge they put up the worst ever PL defense. Yes, worse than Blackburn . Also a new coach with an uncertainty around him.

Meanwhile we can enjoy a Summer of stability. Good coach signing a new contract. Vibrant young side, youngest in the division. Settled group.

Strange how About time says you can't buy titles, strange isn't that how Abramovich & Chelsea won all their trophies. The club was nearly in administration when he came in with the money him, Yeltsin & Putin stole from the Russian people

Even before Chelsea won the lottery and bought trophies they were still more successful than Spurs and regularly finished above them in the league.

While you are technically correct, the whole success at Chelsea from 1997 to 2003 (when Romanot took over) was built on a mountain of debt. They forked out huge fees and wages in that period.

Roman then took that debt on when Chelsea were struggling in 2003.

So although he was not there for their success in that time, he did actually pay for it

Chelsea in those days was hardly packed with superstars, though. Bad management of club funds tends to negate success, not improve it.
