Im sitting here and its all gone....

A couple of hours after it was won, adrenaline still pumping, eyes still wide and I've got skysports on. Im watching the little story of how we went from L1 to champs. There was one clip that I watched and something dawned on me, its gone, its all gone. It was that watford playoff game. Ive only ever seen it twice as I couldn't bare watching something that gut wrenching. I've now watched it on the loop several times and all the heatache ever is gone.

That blackburn match gone
That swindon match gone
That 1st ever prem season gone
That spurs game in lge cup gone
The peter taylor era and relegation gone
On the brink of bankruptcy gone
Craig leven and megson gone
Relegation to L1 gone
Getting battered by forest gone
Bloody kermigant penalty gone
That watford game mental 2 mins gone

Winning the league is the best therapy I could ever have asked for. Nothing in football will ever bother me again because I will always have this to look back at and feel good about

But you knew that.

Realist, 7th in January.

So to clarify.

You are saying i am a bad example because i didn't think Leicester would win the title?

I guess i am in good company with the rest of the footballing world then Igor.

Not sure what any of that has to do with my reply to the OP though?

All i am saying is he will care again as it is human nature, you taste a high and you want to taste it again.

Winning the league as a minnow is no different to having your first hit of heroin.

Next season, you are all going to have to watch yourselves - darkness beckons.

Get out there in the summer and lay your lives down for the poor

i was at our last home game in the 58-59 season,
we were already champions and the away team applauded wolves on to the pitch,
i thought how sportsmanlike that was
the whole thing is imprinted on what passes for my brain despite being 57 years ago.
so i can appreciate how leicester fans feel today and guarantee them they will never, ever forget these great days

oh, and the away team was leicester

i dont think any of us that follow football will forget this.

the real glory goes to leicester, the fans, the team, the manager and even the city.

but for us neutrals too - well.. a bit more than neutral - it has been a great great thing to see.

if i live to be a hundred, i will always watch football. and i will always remember 'little' Leicester winning the PL!

Just to think... this is history we're seeing right here. It's "that time when".
