Why is this Op on the Scottish Premier board ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because we compete* in the Scottish Premiership.

Are we really going to play that game?

*depends on your definition of competing.

esc - behave yourself. We've still got fixtures to complete.

And you're embarrassing yourself with this "you're on the wrong board" pash.

As we understand it, this is the current situation with the squad in terms of what contracts the players are on. This list is made up of all of those currently employed who have been involved in first team match squads this season.

**Out of contract/deal expires - 11 players:
Guy Demel, Ryan Dow, Chris Erskine, Eiji Kawashima, Kyle Knoyle, Billy Mckay, Callum Morris, Ed Ofere, John Rankin, Florent Sinama-Pongolle, Euan Spark

**Still under contract (1 more year) - 11 players:
Henri Anier, Darko Bodul, Ali Coote, Sean Dillon, Paul Dixon, Simon Murray, Paul Paton, Blair Spittal, Michal Szromnik, Charlie Telfer, Luis Zwick

**Still under contract (2 more years) - 6 players:
Coll Donaldson, Mark Durnan, Scott Fraser, Justin Johnson, Jamie Robson, Harry Souttar

Sky Sports have reported that those who remain under contract have been told they can find other clubs, with only four exceptions.

The only "regular" players who will be retained are Blair Spittal, Simon Murray, Scott Fraser & Luis Zwick.

No word yet on Coote, Johnson, Robson or Souttar, who may well be considered to be youth players as opposed to first team guys.

We'll looks like Rankin is away. Maybe didn't want a drop in wages. Our youths beat Accies 9-1 the other night. I'd say a lot of they guys could be 1st team players next season.

They could be first team players this season. Don't want to see the likes of McKay, Demel, Ofere etc again if they're gone. May as well chuck a load of kids in and see what's what.

Will be a shame if Dillon goes. Not always the greatest defender but has given his all for the club. More than can be said for a lot of the current squad.

See Rankin has put a goodbye on his Twitter. Shame he's going but he can still be a Premiership player and doubt we could afford him.
