Fantastic live broadcast by Radio 5 Live on Tuesday from the Local Hero
Great to hear lots of ex players giving their thoughts and a great insight given by some supporters into what it's like to be a City fan.
But a couple of things really stood out
1) The Top 10 City moments through the season..... Spine tingling to hear some of these again. Makes your hair stand on end reliving the fight backs, the great goals, the Man City drubbing, the Ranieri quotes etc
2) On an evening celebrating our success and looking forward there was one person who couldn't resist a dig at NP at the first opportunity. Step forward Ian Stringer. We have all moved on but someone still seems to be sucking a bitter pill. Poor show Mr Stringer during a celebration broadcast.
The 2 hour special can be downloaded on the BBC Iplayer Radio.
Highly recommended

PS Hilarious to hear Jobber say how he bashed one out so hard during the Swansea game that he is having a new skin fitted😂
Worth A Listen....

You guys are on your own about my mate stringy he got as big a cheer as the the players. He said about NP in press conferences put it in context.
Hardly the big moment in a three hour broadcast.
Showing your prejudice or Jealousy in my opinion the team at RL have done us proud this season.
I am grateful for what Pearson did not how he did it and like most of us don't miss him for one minute.
It's history and i hope Nigel is enjoying our success

It amazes me that the players still don't interview through Stringer, he really must have burnt his bridges there!

TB that's right i had forgotten about that with other BBC reporters doing them but its much more fun listening to the Manager than a "over the moon player" comment

You are quite right about Stringer spoke about Press Conferences...... But the question was about CR in his Press Conferences NOT asking Stringer to compare CR's to NP's.
And from someone listening who knows the history it seemed a cheap shot, that was my point.
As for showing prejudice or jealousy, it's just an opinion after hearing the broadcast.
What are we jealous of?
As you say we are all grateful for what NP did but it's history now, as is Stringers relationship with NP but he still chose to bring it up.
As has been pointed out again, we still have the situation of the players " exercising their right" not to give interviews to a certain journalist.
Water under the bridge, move on?

To be fair Nev, you know the guy personally whereas 99% of the listeners don't, so we can only form an opinion on how he comes across on the radio which, for me, isn't great.
I can never get past the thought that when he's doing his commentary, he's not so much focused on the match but more thinking of how great he's going to sound on the radio - and this is backed up by his constant, CONSTANT playing of his own soundbites all the bloody while on sports reports and at the begining of the Monday night forum.
How many times did we have to listen to his commentary of the Vardy goal against Liverpool the following morning? He must have played it three or four times and I could just see him sat there in the studio with a smug look on his face thinking 'I sounded great there'.
As I say, I don't personally know the guy but this is the impression I get of him whenever I hear him - it's all about him. And from talking to others, I know I'm not alone with this view.

A lot of fans have never really forgiven Stringer for his behaviour last season

As he's the commentator of the match who elses sound bites is he going to play. As for Vardy's goal same goes for that and we would not keep hearing it over again if it was just a tap in.
It's about opinions BS he has 33,000 followers on twitter i think like him or not he's done a great job this season and as his tears prove he's one of our own not just a reporter

Can't believe he posted this article on the 5th, and then died on the night of the 6th.
Life is cruel.

Still find it hard to find the right words.
Like every Leicester poster on JA606 yesterday was such a great day but tinged with incredible sadness.
The Club did him proud yesterday though.
