I agree, finally a WWI game. Been waiting for this for years, sick of the futuristic crap now. And I will buy the new COD but only for the remastered COD 4. Now that is what you call a proper COD game.

There's mustard gas and horses and all sorts.

I really can't wait, the futuristic stuff is just too op it becomes boring. This should be much much more fun

I'm a COD player and BO3 is a good game.

That does not stop me from being very excited about this, and I think a lot of players who have seen COD moving ever more towards futuristic titles are going to be happy wit this.

I've wanted a WWII title again for years now, a WWI title is just as good.

The reveal trailer actually looks quite decent.

However its just the story mode, and no one buys these games for that, they buy them for MP.

Problem is the stuff they have on the reveal trailer will probably unlikely make it into online play.

Just look at space with cod ghost, plugged massively beforehand and never used apart from a 2 minute mission.

if they actually had MP maps where it was a space battle in ships or a map set on mars then great.

But it wont, so overall the game play is going to be similar to advanced warfare and bo3.

Whereas Battlefield1 is offering, for the first time since World at War, the chance for a different type of multiplayer from one of the two main FPS franchises.

I'm really looking forward to that, I hope they dont mess it up and that it sells well and it makes COD think about doing the same.

They are remastering COD4, if that sells then hopefully we might see a WaW remaster too.

They really have to get the tone right for WWI. I believe one of the main criticisms for Hardline was that it was just a re-skinned BF4, hopefully they don't make the same mistake here.
A WWI game should be as far away from sci-fi tech as possible. It should be a brutal, unpleasant slog. No bright shiny textures, just everything covered in mud.

This looks brilliant, and like someone said I hope it's muddy, dark, a real slug fest and generally an awful brutal place to be.
