I have recently come to the point of my life where I have no clue what to do rest of it. Maybe I should give this a go where do I start?
I am not talking about game FM but work my way up to the rank of Football manager..is it possible for a guy from normal background to become one? How?
I am not 100% I just want information and guidance where to start and maybe if everything goes right I may take the leap. Thanks
How do you become a football manager?

with your half baked committment to this career change, you sound like a real catch for any professional club

It will take a long time before you can make any money out of it.

Just do badges and offer yourself as the other poster said around at pro clubs as interns work experience. Could get job as a sports analyst at a pro club. Could be another route. Know people who've done that in rugby and tennis, but they went to uni to get that. They both work for pro teams. But have gone on to do coaching as well, and been surrounded by top coaches managers and players. Would be great experience. And don't have to be ex player or anything like that.

All football clubs should set up programmes to get people who will be professional coaches.
It is ludicrous to assume that footballers make the best coaches because they were footballers. They are different profession and require vastly different skills.
In American football it actually really unusual for a coach to have played in the NFL, most coaches played their last game in high school then devote their lives to being a coach.
Football would be better if a lot more coaches were professional coaches not players.

So OP. What grounds have you made into the world of becoming a football coach?
