So a sell out on season tickets.
One in the eye for those who said the new stadium would never be more than half full.

Only a very small number of these were at the cheapest price. And I'm not sure why that matters anyway. Sounds desperate

It's 4500 at the cheap price, the rest are much the same as any other London prem club.
That aside as Tomkins points out, it's strange some people are apparently pleased that thier tickets are expensive.

I think it's going to be fantastic having a new big club in London.
Think it's an absolute scandal that you have been given a shiny new stadium, but that's another story.

Spare me the false outrage

They`ve sold 10K season tickets to kids for £99 and given away the rest cheap, the only reason they have sold out. The athletics stadium will be full of kids, pikey`s and tourists.

Also, those kids season tickets can be upgraded on the day, leaving things open to all sorts of abuse. There has been a large number of Non Spanner fans that are snapping up these season tickets for their own gain, which does not bode well for security inside the ground.
The Olympic Stadium needs to appear popular and a success, or a lot of people will look very stupid, hence the desperation to get rid of tickets. Expect changes to the ticket system when it all goes titz up.

Estimated 15,000 season tickets have gone to non West Ham fans.
Still, 35,000 genuine fans is pretty impressive for a small club.
If just 1% of those 15,000 are Spurs, Chelsea and Millwall psychopaths, I can see English clubs being banned from Europe again.

Hello Uncle, where did you get the 15,000 figure from?
If true it simply means that if they cause trouble they will be banned with no refund, thier tickets resold to those on the waiting list and they will provide an additional stream of revenue to the Hammers.
