Martinez was sacked because it saved him from enduring a toxic atmosphere at the final home game, the mentioned the fact that there had been protests and more planned. I suppose that one in the eye for those who felt our protests were a waste of time. Obviously the protests were noticed and it helped the board come to a correct decision.

I doubt protests or not that he would start the next season with the club now the new guy is here.
We talk about doing things the right way, the Everton way...that's why I thought he would go at the end of the season.

The right way is to make the right decision at the right time. I think they made the right decision just 18 months to late. "The Everton way" what ever that is hasn't done us much good over the past twenty odd years.

To be honest even as a red Everton a a big club and deserve a manager who can elevate them towards the top four.
If I were a blues fan (shudder) I would like to see Slaven Billic given the job.

Bilic............
You joking?

Why not? He's got experience of the Premier League, got a bit of charisma and passion, and he gets games won dirty if need be. You might even get Andy Carroll into the bargain

Billic and West ham have just had a very good season, payet has looked a bit special but I would like to see how he does after his second season. It could be that this season is a flash in the pan. Perfect example Martinezs first season.
Personally for me I like the lookind of koeman, he is doing a cracking job at Southampton, although it looks likely to be de beor.

Koeman is doing a huge job at Southampton. De Boer has a proven track record with Ajax who to me are a huge club.
So many top managers around.
