Leicester City finish....
10 points above Arsenal, who apparently won the league after beating us at the Emirates.
11 points above Tottenham, who were going to win their last 4 and win it on GD
15 points above Man City who spent over £100m in the summer
What a season. What a bloody season. Thank you Claudio , thank you the owners , thank you the players and thanks to everyone who cheered on the lads this season
Let's hope this is the beginning of something even greater.
MIND THE GAP

Normal PL champion? Maybe for recent years but generally the league was won with a 'low' pts tally until the mid 2000's and the huge amounts of money took over and increased the gulf
----------------------------------------------------------------------
5th lowest
United and Blackburn won the 2nd and 3rd editions of the PL with 92 and 89 points respectively.
As I said, 81 points is at the low end of normal for a PL champion

There were 22 teams so subsequently 4 extra games in the first 3 seasons so I'm not using these. But like I said (kind of) 81 could of been considered normal until the money explosion

It is still in the lower end, though, so not sure why you take offence (especially considering what was said after the opening line)

Today's Spurs result and Arsenal going above them at the death is the icing on the cake to this season's end.
I couldn't make my mind up between Utd and City for the 4th spot but on reflection I dislike LVG more so I'm glad City got it.

What about winning the title by 10 points? That has to rate on the higher end of distance won by...
Agreed 81 points is a lower total than normal, but to win it by 10 points is pretty impressive

I'm not offended. No reason to be.
I agree 81 pts is low in recent years but it was normal once. The staggering thing is that we've still won it by 10 pts and no one has touched us

Only 4 times in PL history has a 10 point win been bettered

Tbh if you finished on 60 points and won the league then why would anyone care?
At the end of the day Leicester were by a landslide the best team and are worthy winners. Leicester fans also have every right to gloat, 99% of the country and their own fan base never gave them a chance of winning the PL and something like this will probably never happen again, why would they not gloat about it.
But just to be clear, don't think a single Arsenal fan thought we had won the league when we beat Leicester.

Who cares how low a points total Leicester won with? They won the league by ten points and with two games to spare, and only lost 3 games all season.
That's pretty conclusive by any standards.
