No zlatan

Looks like the zlatan story earlier was not correct

BREAKING: Mino Raiola has told #SSNHQ that reports of Manchester United offering Zlatan Ibrahimovic a one-year deal are "not factual".

I doubt Ibra will get £600K per week.

I don't think that there is a chance to be fair. He might get 300k and a decent signing on fee though.

Yeah, and with his talent I think it's a good deal for us and him.

I'd take Zlatan for sure and I am convinced that he he been at United this season, even for the last six or seven games we'd have finished third or even second as he is a player who can make a difference.

Having him up front means that the ball would stick and would allow the pacier players behind him to be confident in making runs behind.

If teams drop deep, as they often do, then he is more than capable of shooting from outside the box powerfully or playing the ball out wide and getting into the box for a header.

It isn't long-term but I think that the beauty of this potential signing as the younger strikers round him will not see him as a long term threat but more of an inspirational/talismatic figure.

We've complained for a while about not being entertaining but I am sure he'd bring the X Factor.

Probably so. I could do with a bit of a laugh after this season. I can see arguments for and against getting him in. My main problem being that I don't want both him and Rooney in the same team. I'd be quite happy to see him at the head of a 3 pointed attack with Martial/Memphis/Rashford/Adnan wide.

The question is how good is he? And why are we signing players close to their drop off point? With rvp, falcao and Rooney, their age and situation pointed to a drop off soon. Rvp gave us one good season. Why is united the club who gives a 35 year old on his way out a contract? This is a big Sam managing Bolton kind of move signing dugarry

300k per week after tax is what he's looking for

A 35 year possibly past it by the time he arrives to play in probably the most physically demanding league in the world

A one season deal for a 35 year old in such good shape and still playing at a very high level isn't that big a risk.

And wasn't it Birmingham who sign Duggary? He played a huge role in keeping them in the PL with a run of goals at the end of the season.

I don't think his fitness will be a worry and in truth this season's United haven't seemed to be the fittest of sides anyway.

I think he could create a spark for us and hopefully gee up the rest of the players to believe in themselves.

Whatever the stories about Zlatan's ego and what have you it is clear to me that he must be a very dedicated pro to be in the shape he is in at the moment.

I think his touch of arrogance is just what we would need next season if we got him.

He is 6ft 5" and a black belt in taekwondo. I am not that worried about the physical side of his game. I think if you have pace and movement around him he can make the ball stick until others are in good positions.

We're missing that arrogance. if he does come I cannot wait to see him bring some Zlatan to our games
