I think the fact Liverpool played on a Wednesday night must have affected their players really badly. I mean they haven't played European matches on a Wednesday for years, not being in the Champions League. Perhaps if the final had been played on a Thursday night, they may have been better.....oh wait.....they don't even get Thursday footy next season either. Next thing they'll be saying as per a few years ago is, no European distractions, we'll finish 2nd again. Next year is our year, ra ra ra. Sure. Suarez > Benteke and Sturridge put together, you lost him.
