Lots of talk about Zlatan recently but whether or not you'd like him at united, he definitely isn't the future...
So putting aside whether a player will or won't sign for us cos we aren't in the CL or cos we can't attract big names etc, who would you rather have for that cash. 65M is about griezmann's release clause and also the figure banded about for Lukaku give or take.
On paper, it seems pretty straightforward. Griezmann's the better player, some even suggesting he should be on the 3 man Ballon dor shortlist already.
However lukaku has a lot going for him as well. First and foremost PL experience. We know he can hack it in this league and will deliver 25 plus goals a season. You never know what youll get with players new to the league and how they'll adapt.
And second (and this is just my opinion) Lukaku would be an almost perfect fit for the front line we already have, capable of playing the lone CF role (in place of Rash) or in off the right, along side Rash and martial. With Griezmann, we'd have to restructure the team around him in a new formation to get the best out of him (which may not be a bad thing)....
Anyhoo with those things in mind who'd be a better fit for us?
For £65M... Lukaku or Griezmann?

As far as any United and Everton transaction would be concerned, he'd be worth exactly what we'd be willing to pay for him.**
what a load of rubbish, see how that worked out for Chelsea last season when they tried repeatedly to sign John Stones

That's the point though.
A deal is made, i.e. a value is agreed by the two clubs, when they settle on his mutual worth.
In that case, the two clubs disagreed on the player's value, so no deal was made.
It's pretty basic economics.

But Mourinho's going to Everton isn't he?

no he's signing for United, dont you listen to ROBB and your fellow United supporters
You're also going to sign lots of top class signings despite finishing outside of the CL places and will actually play entertaining football next season
Too easy.............
