You know, if nothing else, maybe this weekend might wake people up to the fact that bellends are not only OF problems. Hearts and Hibs get away with murder.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't forget Aberdeen fans... Nasty feckers plus those Motherwell bams.
And most of the bellends seem to be on the Rangers statement thread trying to justify everything.
I forgot about most of this pash on here, the your team is shiite no your team is can be fun but trying to brush of half our squad being assaulted as has been reported as exuberance and joyful playing about is pathetic.

I agree also that Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen fans and many others get away with murder.
I think that most guys on the statement thread condem Hibs and feel that they should be hammered for it.
However, forget about the Hibs fans for one second. Rangers fans got on the pitch and fought, a Rangers official has allegedly assaulted a Hibs player.
No one is trying to justify what Hibs fans did, but there are no Hibs fans on this site and as everyone agrees that they should be hammered then there isn't much to discuss there.
That's why people are criticising the statement, point is that Rangers should have condemned their own fans first if they are (rightly) criticising Hibs for not doing the same. But not only has Traynor not critised the fans, he has excused them. That's crazy.
But that has nothing to do with justifying Hibs behaviour, they are two separate points.

How can you forget hibs fans? Rangers fans, although those that ran on to the pitch were out of order, wouldn't have been there if hibs fans hadn't kicked things off
What Hibs fans did and what rangers fans followed with are, although both unacceptable, inextricably linked.
It's the same as the cultic support in Amsterdam.

The problem with football is it attracts a thug element that all sides have, and in a lot of cases are not the true core support, ie they turn up at big events and let the club down.
The problem is n3ds and idiots always take things too far. A big atmosphere at the game , some bevy and folk want to kill people. Whearas in other sports they have a peaceful day out.
The police need to crack down on this nonesense.
The problem in Scotland is the out of date sectarian nonesense as well.
I personally have no issue with fans celebrating peacefully on the park after a famous cup win.
But the scenes at hampden were out of hand and thuggery. Security lost control and players were assaulted. That needs to be accepted and dealt with.
Also the violence that happened after the match like this incident in hay market are a disgrace.
P1sses you off reading stuff about any fans ending up in hospital going to a football match.
Guy standing on his own getting knocked unconscious by two blokes, because two teams were playing football! Hope they get the guys and jail them.
There is enough CCTV these days to jail the folk that were out of order on Saturday and spoiled a great cup final with their after match actions.
I personally just want to focus on rangers footballing side and the signings we are going to make to strengthen our squad for next year.
But I want to also see these hibs thugs get the jail.

I said a few months back on these forums that we will never combat the sectarian issues etc in Scottish football until people were prepared to accept that it is not limited to Rangers and Celtic but is also running through other clubs in one way or another.
Sadly at that time fans of other clubs were quick to come out and deny any such thing, claiming it was all down to the OF, the more worrying thing today is that even after what happened on Saturday that same attitude is still in effect. It is even more shameful that high profile journalists are taking this pathetic "show me the evidence" line when there is plenty of it there.
I got accused before of being part of the tin foil hat brigade for my arguments bout other clubs but given the reaction of quite a majority of people over the weekend it is hard not to think there is a mass alliance of everyone against Rangers. We were lulled into a false sense of security with the praise after the old firm win, I thought genuinely people were starting to change attitudes and start a new era but sadly I was wrong.
Yes we have the saying "No one likes us, we don't care" but that does not mean we will sit quietly and let our club be metaphorically and actually the punching bag of Scottish football. You all got your kicks in when we went down to the bottom tier, now we honestly make our way back up and it seems it is still not enough.
Ok rant over, just had to get that off my chest, back to normal programming now.... Going to enjoy it even more when we clinch 55 ๐๐๐๐๐๐ดโช๏ธ๐ต

People outside the gold fish bowl of Scottish football can see the anti rangers theme.
Agreed, some of the non old firm clubs in Scotland are as bad if not worse than the old firm.
It's a shame that nonesense is still part of Scottish society. These are just daft football teams at the end of the day, not worth having battles over it and deep rooted issues in our society.
The law is the law and the authorities will hopefully bang these idiots up and ban them from football for their actions.
Anyway we move on hopefully to looking forward to the new season.

I don't know that it is particularly anti Rangers, but the old firm are vilified when other clubs do far worse.
