No matter if he goes on the spend 20 years winning the treble 12 times the League and Champions League Double 4 times and a Partridge in a Pear tree.
The problem with Jose was it was always going to end in tears.
He was the ex we all missed cos The $ex was so good. We missed him when he was gone, yearned for his return blotting out the reasons why the relationship went sour the first time round. He came back. We rejoiced. The $ex was just as great as we remembered it to be and for while things looked rosy.
But then some of the things that annoyed us the first time re-surfaced. Then the relationship started to go downhill. He stopped short of mentioning seagulls in his press conferences, but things weren’t right and there were signs early on that things weren’t right. No amount of marriage guidance seemed to help.
We did not win back to back league matches under Jose at all in the season just past. There was a danger that Chelsea could end up in a relegation battle. Some fans appear to have felt like they’d accept relegation if it meant keeping Jose. None of us wanted him to go, but relegation imo would have been far too high a price to pay.
The board/owner had to act. They filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. The board have been maintaining the Child maintenance payments.
Jose got lonely, needed the closeness of a relationship again. He’s about to go to bed in the arms of another.
Chelsea and our fans must move on.
Antonio Conte is our Manager/Head Coach now. I hope the club back him. There will be no 2nd reunion with the one that got away, when he comes back it will be with his new love, he will be setting out to hurt his former love. Enjoy the memories, reflect. But we must move on.
Kidding aside, I loved my football club before, during and after Jose the first time round. Chelsea Football Club >>>>>>>>>>Jose Mourhino. He has my thanks, Chelsea have my loyalty!
Jose is a Chelsea Legend

A Chelsea legend, a Porto legend, an Inter legend...the guy's become a living legend almost everywhere he's been, but...
...if he goes on to outdo at United everything he's done elsewhere, he'll be remembered first and foremost as a United legend.
Bit like Ronaldo at Madrid. He'll probably always hold special status amongst United fans, but the ROTW will probably remember him first and foremost as a R Madrid legend.

I wonder if he enjoys 3/4 years at Utd and wins a PL or 2 and a few domestic cups will he look back after he's retired and consider himself a Chelsea man or a United man. Lampard will always be a Chelsea man despite that season with City, Cech too.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a toss up between Chelsea and United though. He ought still to have plenty of years ahead of him. As stated, he's held in high regard at other clubs too, clubs he might return to one day and do just as well as he did in his first stint. There may still be other clubs down the line too.
No one would have guessed a year ago that Leicester might become the club Ranieri holds dearest to his heart. They might not even be that club now, but there's a fair chance they are or will be.

Good article Flash, I pretty much agree with all of that and the second spell was still good value in spite of the season just gone if only for the additional silverware that was gained from it on our Club records. Another League title win and League Cup win are not to be sniffed at.
