i think incompetence is often paraded as corruption. That ref today obviously didn't have a clue.

Indeed Tino, the guy was giving Scotland a fair few breaks as well. Brown probably did foul Baros when he was clean through, so Brown would have been off. Plus Adam got away with a penalty.

The incompetence shown by the manager greatly outweighed any from the referee.

I would say that being a ref is far harder than you think it is. Not gonna start ranting at you, but I'll encourage you to pick up a whistle and try it out.
I was critical of referees just like you are, but after doing it for three years now it really makes you appreciate the job they do.
Referees have bad games, and they are human beings. Meaning that once they feel like they've made an error, the pressure can really get to them, especially when being booed by lots of angry scots. Give it a go, fella :D

The point is that he was poor for the entire game. He gave Scotland free kicks that weren't free kicks. He gave Czech free kicks that weren't free kicks. He was inconsistent with his yellow cards and then he was inconsistent with his penalty decisions.

He had a shocker. And it cost us at the end of the day.

It really didn't. We had 90 mins to create chances and chose to sit back after scoring instead of getting forward. Deciding to have a flurry after conceding and then moaning about penalties is pathetic.

We weren't good enough, simple as that.
