Sorry, as there have probably been numerous similar articles, but if you had to name a stage right now, how far do you think your country will go in the Euros?
As a Northern Irish man, I'm just happy to be there and think it'll be very tough to get out of our group.
I think England will make the quarters, where they will lose to Portugal in a penalty shoot out. Again.
I think Wales will come third in their group (Russia will be bottom and Slovakia second) and bow out in the second round.
Republic of Ireland is impossible to call imo. Italy are all or nothing and it kind of depends on which Italian team turns up. Belgium should qualify and Sweden are entirely reliant on one player

Robb is correct. However, England have more fire power than at any time in recent memory. There's no Heskey up front now and goals win games.
I stand by my prediction that they'll lose on penalties to Portugal in the quarters

Dunno about that. England went into the 2002, 2004 and 2006 tournaments as contenders with a squad pretty much as good as anyone else's.
This England side aren't even in the top 4 or 5 squads in the euros.

Golden generation hmmmm...failed at every tournament dismally. You can match up players all you like and then go back to 96 or 90 when beardsley,lineker,one armed robbo,waddle,barnes,walker,butcher et al were a better managed group.
This manager is poor and has been for a long time and that is where they will fail. Stick those same players under Venables and you might see the handbrake taken off.
