Just read that he would like to extend his contract if possible. Whilst I do think he has a place in the squad and I admire his attitude, this news does concern me.
I just feel that his place in our team should go to the likes of Albrighton, Bannan or possibly Ireland.
Heskey forever

Of course he wants to extend his contract. Who wouldn't if they were being paid 50k pw, knowing full well no other club is going to come in and make an offer? Especially at his age.

The younger players need extended runs to get anywhere; Heskey is in the way. It's no use AM saying they need to show something, if they're only getting cameo roles at the end of matches.

We will happily take him back home if needed. Could probably afford his wages too!!!
According to Sven Goran Eriksson, when he got in touch with Heskely at the end of last season about a move to Leicester the answer was "no not yet", so he wont be at Aston Villa forever, trust me.
In all seriousness though I think he can still do a job for you guys this season.

Easily, by a country mile, the most overated striker of his generation. Utter tripe, with no touch, no ability to score, and no reason to be on the pitch. He is not a midfielder to hold the ball up. We don't need to lump the ball to him and for him to sit on it, this is 2011 and the game has changed. The fact that Eck is trying this route is dumb as dumb can be. We have attacking talent. As Mac says, Peskey is just in the way, on and off the pitch.
