England's squad numbers

Can we read anything into them? England managers are often quite conservative with them and 1-11 is sometimes their preferred team. I noticed that Alli and Dier have been given 20 and 17 respectively, while Lallana will wear 8. If Roy plays 1-11, it would look something like this:

Hart
Walker Smalling Cahill Rose
Milner
Lallana Sterling
Rooney
Kane Vardy

He wouldn't, would he?

I just thought it was a strange choice to give Alli 20, unless he asked for it. Just assumed he'd get 8. What does he wear for Spurs?

I doubt Wilshere chose 18. He probably asked for 7 and Sterling pushed him over.
