Yes we could loan him out till a sale or we could use him as a a goalscorer if he is fully match fit and help us get back too premier.
I dont think Zigic as been a flop because foreign players usually take 12 months to get up too speed and at this level could score for fun.
Goals mean we could bounce straight back as we are going to leak more goals against us and we hvae too score more goals.
I reckon Rooney, Zigic, King and Wood are not bad as more creative options are in the middle of the Park and winders who can cross and open defences simpler.
we have no fancy spoilers here now and the team is one unit which as been achieved on no money by Chris Hughton ... My worry is Chris Hughton if we go back up will we struggle to hold him as i believe he is on 12 month revolving contract.
KRO see you all at game @Millwall
Zigic is here till Janaury why not use him?

Yes I agree use him. I have never been a critic of his attitude, although I do feel he struggled to adapt to playing in the Premier for the first half of last season. However, in January and February he had developed his game a lot (to be fair McLeish was good at this) and was getting much better.
Although I feel Rooney has a knack for scoring goals & Wood is a real trier who is also now hitting the back of the net, we want all the options we can get, and Zigic will offer us something else - you always want different types of players in your squad so that you can change the game after 60 mins, so I would definitely play him.
I would probably start with King and Wood on Sunday, looking to give Zigic 30 mins at the end to start getting his match fitness back, and probably use Rooney as well off the bench - he seems to do well once defences are a bit tired.

I agree we should keep him and play him.
I do not buy into the clap trap that we have to keep selling players cos we cant afford to pay their wages.
It pleases some on here to padanticise about that kind of thing but I think it is rubbish.
If we carry on selling the family silver we will end up in L1 next season... guaranteed!

I can't see any reasons why Zigic can't get back into the team and start scoring goals again. Now we have a couple of decent wingers in Redmond and Burke who actually get balls into the box rather than passing it sideways or backwards he should get a lot more goal scoring chances each game. If our forward line can stay fit I think it's pretty decent. I wasn't sure about Wood at the start but you can see with each game he's just getting better and better.
Still not sure about playing baeusjour at CM would rather see Gomis and Fahey in there but give the team a chance to gel and we should be alright.

My line up would be Doyle in goal as My hill may come good but as to 1 be more dominant and better at reading the crosses . flaps at too much for me, give Doyle a go .
Front line would be Rooney and Wood with Zigic or King on bench depending on fitness... My reason is both are match they are fit and hit the net, let others prove of bench that they are pushing for team selection.
Zigic off bench for me as been here longer and should slot in better from off.
Unlike AM what you did last game counts for nothing.
Look forward too better play this year under CH KRO

Unless you believe the theory that Zigic's wages are paid by insurance if he's injured then if he is fit he will play.
CH will use every resource at his disposal to win a game. In a far more attacking and attractive style.
Xpat. That word "padanticise" just got me 735 points at scrabble

I thought it was mentioned about another fee to be paid after X amount of games... i just think its a case that we couldn't offload him because no one wants him.
It will be very telling if he makes the side now the transfer window is closed, but the loan window is also open so he may be loaned out still.

1) Stoke and all the other top flight clubs around Europe cannot loan him as they are not permitted to. For the UK for example, the loan window is only open to the Championship and below. The same follows around Europe.
2) Chris Hughton stated on the interview following Chris Wood's re-signing that Zigic will be back in first team training following the international break.
3) If the Zigic/Insurance rumour were true, I can't see Chris Hughton sticking around having to lie about his injury until January, especially after saying he is close to being available. This is yet another false story from the Anti-CY Society's moronic division.

Well this is the biggie for us...
Because lets say the insurance conspiracy is just that, as that would be fraud if he is not injuried would not put anything past what our board would do mind
We could be left with Zigic and paying his £50K a week wages, now its down to if Zigic would be happy to play or just do a sick note, this is why fans need to back him up as if he is made to feel like a outcast and money grabber then the guy may not be bothered. Its not his fault, we offered him a contract and he signed it and we have to stick to it.
Now if Zigic plays but does not have much of a effect say he does not end up being in Top 6 best Strikers in this league then who is going to want to pay even £3M for him, nevermind his wages.
Then again Zigic could be hit in which case, he could help with Promotion and maybe Survival in the Prem or if we fail to get Promoted at least if he has a good season we would see more clubs come after him.
I do think Hughton wants to give the big man a run out and use him this season, but i think Panu wants his or most of his wages off the books. And i would not rule out a loan move for % of his wages or even try and agree a mutrual termination of his contract just to save his wages.
If he gives 100% and plays then i think he could have a massive effect this season, i only regret lossing Phillips.
