Two years ago I really rated this young player, who without doubt has talent.
But feck me watching him play for England last night I just could not believe his lack of awareness of where his team mates were and as a result, his dire decision making. He has no pre-determined picture in his head of where he will pass the ball and lost possession, or wasted promising opportunities time and time again.
He was a big reason why we did not blow Russia away last night and unless he can improve that part of his game he will always flatter to deceive.

I hope sterling doesn't play I hope England get knocked out.
They can find another scapegoat for hodgesons faliure.
Seeing my those muppets fighting again last night was the end of my support for the English national side.
What an embarrassment to the rest of us.
Europe probably wants to see the back of us.
From now on my support goes to Ireland birthplace of my father and a set of fans that are known for behaving and having the right attitude to following their team home and abroad.
