Imagine a scenario where British, Irish and Australian (I use those countries as an example as I imagine most people on here are those nationalities ) people get a visa amnesty and you could go live and work there forever if you so wished.
Growing up I always wanted to live there. Shows like magnum pi, saved by the bell and baywatch always painted this picture of an awesome country to live in and I planned to somehow live there as an adult. I even submitted an application for a green card lottery which is an actual thing if you google it.
My thirst for living there dissipated as I visited there a few times. Vegas and Miami were great but more touristy than a place to live and while I loved new York it was too much like London for me to want to settle down.
My desire to live there has diminished even further with all this gun crime seemingly getting worse. Someone posted a stat yesterday that said there were more than one mass shooting incidents per day for the past year or so.
My question is, if you could live there, would you? To extend the question, if you could live anywhere where would you choose to live? Valencia is calling to me as the city is big without being London big and safe as houses. Showers are great too.

U.S. is a slave-state where people live just to work, if they're even lucky enough to. And then you retire at age 71 and die in a few short years. It's all rather pointless, but great to visit.

I've been offered a few jobs over there, New York, DC and San Francisco, but it doesn't appeal, even though the cash offered was insane.
I can handle a few chats here and there with Americans, but they would do my head in on a day to day basis.

I've lived in Texas my whole life. Can't go wrong here if you stay out of the dangerous area.
Ranking the Texas cities in terms of livability: Austin, Houston, Dallas.
Places I want to live in North America: Vancouver, Seattle, Denver, Calgary, NYC, T-dot
Around the world: Singapore and Hong Kong
