They really sould have the world cup taken away if even their MPs are backing the violence. Disgusting.
Russian MPs condone & ecourage the violence

"But the truth is, I think they SHOULD allow fighting between the rival fans. Just give them a designated area on the outskirts of the city, a disused field or something like that. Get them to organise unarmed fighting only, none of this hiding in side streets armed with telescopic truncheons, bats, chairs, tables and whateven else they had for an ambush. Put the army with rubber bullets, water cannons, tear gas, etc nearby to control it if it gets too far out of hand. Maybe add a stand for those that only want to watch as well.
Then anyone found causing trouble outside the designated area is hit hard, with deportation and prison possible consequences."
Ahahahahahahahahahaha. Jesus H Christ
I've no idea if you held any previous credibility as a serious poster on here, but whatever level it was! it has been completely shot now

I am allowed to express a view on an annonamous internet forum, the same as anyone else.
What I can see that I didnt explain well is that the reason I said that is to control where it happens and to safeguard people who dont want to be involved and property.
Imo, its better to say if you are going to fight you do it on our terms and not your own, like on Saturday.

It's best they police it seriously, segregate sensibly and protect their borders surely?
Even better of course if they just go and fwcking enjoy themselves. England have far more sensible fans than idiots, the same most of the world over. Why don't they step in and shout these clowns down instead of joining in their daft anti ISIS and AyeRA songs in a foreign country?

Letting those who want to fight go at it in a separate area isn't even a bad idea - although it sounds completely mental.
These idiots just want a huge fight well let them have it but against other thugs.
Never gonna happen obviously.

IN an ideal world, but where there are 10,000's fans and a few hundred who want to fight, why ruin it for the rest of them? And for those intent on fighting it is virtually impossible to stop them. Did you see the video Stan Collymore posted where hundreds of French thugs congregated in groups of 6 or 7 and then a few blew whistles at which point, in a coordinated attack, they rushed English fans drinking in the batrs? Do you propose the locals are segregated as well?
My point is that they are going to fight and nothing will stop them, so do it on terms where the rest of the fans can still enjoy the tournament in reasonable safety and the host cities can benefit from it without the risk of damage to their property. Its damage control rather than condoning it.

You are 100% allowed to express your views. Just as we are 100% allowed to call you an idiot for the stupidity of said views.
Simple, really...

My personal favourite was that idiot who keeps tweeting saying 'police stopped us and pulled us over and threatened to deport us. They gave us no reasons at all.'
Claim false identity by all means, but what rock does this chap claim to have been living under to not have any idea why Russian affiliated football 'fans' may be being deported........
As for the official condoning and celebrating violence.... Let's just say I will be going to a world cup in Syria round about the same time I will be going to a world cup in Russia..... And that is not a slight on Russian (or Syrian) people, merely a statement of strong opinion regarding the safety of british football fans at a world cup there.

if that happened to an equivalent English guy the weeping and wailing would be never-ending

You may have a point.
Call me naiive by all means (I of course am not currently in Paris and could to a certain degree be influenced by the media, known realeased videos aside) but I think the current violence is unprecidented.
I am very aware that English fans have a shocking reputation and with good reason, that has been built up over time. But I never recall hearing about English fans openly assaulting civilians to such a large degree. At least not this century. Drunken abuse and disorderly behaviour? Sure. Fighting the police? Undoubtedly. Being thoroughly unpleasant and making people's life unpleasant? Yeah I get it. Having a riot with known hooligan firms via an arranged meet ? Yep definitely.
But systematically hunting innocent supporters who have no interest in fighting and knowingly hospitalising them? Like I said, call me naiive, but I don't believe that has been an English problem for at least 30 years if at all....
Had English fans been doing what some Russian fans were doing, I would almost expect my bus to be stopped and for us all to be questioned. I certainly wouldn't be complaining about police treatment.
English hooligans have made me genuinely ashamed in the past, but I don't think it is anything on what the average decent Russian must be feeling right now...
