6 changes for tonight

Including Rooney... according to this article.

Brave move from Roy, a loss would probably see us in the dreaded 3rd place spot... but this is the sort of gamble required to go far in the tournament...

England’s Roy Hodgson leaves out Wayne Rooney in gamble for Slovakia

They are fullbacks, being asked to give the width that wingers usually do.

The only criteria you use is chances created directly?

no but your the one that about full backs being wingers so I asked the question, but you haven't answered I wonder why

A out and out winger has a fullback behind him. This frees him up to be a wide attacking player, as well as coming inside and getting involved.

Unless you are going to judge a winger on how many tackles and interceptions they make, it is a bit unfair to judge an attacking fullback on chances created - expecting them to do absolutely everything a top winger does in addition to being a fullback.

I hope this sufficiently explains it to you.

But lets see how Clyne does tonight.

Clyne was fantastic, very impressed

He and Dier were head and shoulders our best players on the night

awful free kicks & corners again

As frustrating as it is, I would rather us have played as we have and finish 2nd, than play averagely and win all three.

Hopefully now teams will come at us a bit more. I think we are in good nick

See getting out of the Euro 2012 group

Followed by an embarrassing inability to keep the ball v Italy, and a frankly pathetic QF exit

Nobody said Italy were average v us when they dominated that game but it finished 0-0, it was our luck that kept it that way.
