Even at our most 'mediocre' we've achieved more than Spurs.

For example, Qualified for CL more in last 10 years. 2 more 2nd place finishes in our last 10 years than Spurs in the last 50

to be fair, 2008/9, 7/8 and 6/7 LFC were not mediocre. You were one of the better teams in England and Europe.

The mediocre years began in 09/10 and in that time you have qualified for the UCL once and won the Carling Cup, not much different to Spurs. We've now made in twice and were unlucky when Chelsea gazumped us in 4th place.

Depending on who you buy, i do expect LFc to be a decent force next season. Like Spurs you have a decent manager, he's been in place for nearly a year, knows his squad and knows what needs doing to it. His approach is like Poch's and Poch managed to turn us around in a year with some shrewd buys. The competition - United, City, Chelsea - all have top new managers but who is to say they will click straight away. If you get on a roll Klopp seems like the sort of guy who can keep it going.

Arsenal(a) first up for you isnt it......give 'em hell! I'll be a LFC fan for that 90 minutes

No, I agree. You may not be able to polish a poo but you certainly seem able to sprinkle glitter on it!

Spurs got 70 points having thrown all the cups. Congrats. Not the glory days of AVB by any means by better than the 64 you got last season. Kudos.

Just as a footnote if you are going to question someone's literary prowess it's probably best not to write like a spaktard in boxing gloves.

I can't believe this debate is even in question. Spurs, arguably the biggest underachievers in Premiership history having not won a major trophy in decades, trying to belittle Liverpool Football Clubs achievements.

We all know LFc are one of the biggest & most successful clubs in English history. Im not debating that fact. Not once. Anywhere.

But lets deal in the present, or at least the recent. Since LFC won anything of note you've sacked 4 managers, bobbed around mid table, had a few cup runs. Your record over the last 10 years is a bit of a tuurd too, may be with a few more sprinkles than Spurs, but a tuurd nonetheless..."do you remember that season when we lost 2 finals and came 8th behind West Ham and Southampton"

What debate are we even having here....certainly not who has had the most success.

You belittle the progress made by Spurs as quaint, but actually its more progress than LFC have made post Rafa. You seem like you need some sort of reality adjustment. You are not all conquering LFC of yester-year. Your history might be glorious and ambitions/expectations sky high but you are just another also-ran in the league, and in recent times Spurs have been slightly better also-rans.

I wish you good luck next season, like i said to Countinhosfeet above, i think you could have a good one if you buy well and start quickly....but that will be down to the manager and the players on the pitch, not the ones in the past who have no baring on the here and now!
