So here we are, the World Champions versus the little Country with only 41 Full time professional footballers. A Foregone conclusion everyone will assume and so it will be …. 1.0 Northern Ireland.
Another very difficult, but not impossible task for us and will need to at least replicate the performance against Ukraine to stand any chance. We have a decent record in competitive internationals against the Germans over the last lot of years, with 2 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats so they will not underestimate us.
Cannot go out for a draw and cannot sit back and allow the Germans to control the game.
Very difficult to change the team but I have a feeling that Kyle Lafferty will return and maybe one other change in the defence.
As for the German team, who cares. Its 11 v 11.
Bring them on and here’s to Northern Ireland qualifying for the last 16.

Earl do you see O'Neill sticking with the side that won or will a few players like say Lafferty come back in?

I think Lafferty will be back and McLaughlin might return at right back but after that the team will probably be the same.
I hope

Really hope NI do it but the signs aren't good: one-way traffic so far. But if they only lose 1-0, they're already above Albania in the standings and so just need one more team in third to have an inferior record. Still some hope if they lose narrowly.
