Yeah hopefully we can do it although I'm struggling to see where we can get a goal from v Italy.

At least they're through already as group winners and already know they're playing Spain and most papers are saying Conté plans to rest 7-9 players so that could play in our favour, or it could backfire with the reserve players really wanting to make an impression.

We beat Italy 1-0 in USA 94 so I'm going to be optimistic for today at least and say we are going to have a famous night and win, how we do it I don't know but I'd rather spend the day excited than miserable

Ireland beating Italy at USA 94 was brilliant. Watched the game in some Irish bar in Tenerife and the atmosphere was mental at full time. I was only 14 at the time but random blokes kept putting pint after pint of Guiness in front of me, I think just because I had an Eire home shirt on.
