According to some of the press, we are supposed to be signing Apostolos Vellios today for approximately 1.2 Million euros, which is £997,937 as i write this article.
I therefore wanted to check him out on wikipedia....as you do, only to find out he's pretty much a 1 in 4 striker!
Do we really need to be paying a million quid for a player that''s most likely going to be warming the bench, due to not having the goal scoring touch that we regularly need?
My instant reaction to this was, maybe he's just unlucky not finding the net with the level of service he's getting....so i checked some of his goals on YouTube.
I've gotta say i was completely underwhelmed with this potential signing. From the clips i've seen, the best we can hope for, is that he's in the right place at the right time (and he's got his shooting boots on). I've not seen much skill from him (at least not in the clips on YouTube).

Forestlen, i do like someone that tries to look on the bright side of things but...
plain and simple...he's a striker. He's paid to put the ball in the back of the net. However you want to dress it up he's gash.
Lets get it right....the only reason he's anywhere near our team is because of the greek connection. I'd have rather spent that little bit extra, and gone for Nélson Oliveira any day of the week.
If he comes good, then i'll make an apology about misjudging him, but as far as i'm concerned it's 100% wasted money!
