It's not as simple as 'keep him'.

He's only got 1 year on his contract and wants first team football.

With Klopp's favoured 4-2-3-1 we can't really promise him game time, as in that 2 he's not good enough to be starting every game.

In a 3 man midfield he's very effective, but if we don't start games with that then he's in limbo much of the season and he doesn't want to be.

Either way I think we should be offering him a new improved contract.

If he signs and replicates his form of the last few months then great everyone will be delighted.

If it still doesn't work for him by next summer then hopefully we will have recouped a bigger fee for him than with his current contract situation.

If he rejects the contract offer and says he wants to move on then so be it, sell him to Swansea or whoever he wants for around £8m, but we should offer him the choice to stay.

I agree a new deal should be put on the table.

We don't seem to be great at contracts at the moment though.

given the silly fees being paid already this summer, we should be holding out for £20m for allen if he is to go.

where and when has Klopp said he wants Allen to go ?

I never rated him, but he has shut me up too in the last 6 months and at times he has looked like our best central midfielder..

Yeah he'd be £60m with longer on his deal as he was one of the top players in Europe last season.
