Seems like I was partly wrong about Neville and he still has some of the sense that made him a good pundit, intact.
As for Hodgson, confirms what a joke he was, if true.

Very harsh on Dier, if as reported he told Hodgson & staff he was feeling unwell before the Iceland game.

I've got to be honest, a couple of Spurs players completely bottled it on the night, along with some others like Cahill.
The worst culprits by far were Kane and Dier who looked very much like rabbits in the headlights and reminded me of a couple of their performances for Spurs when the pressure was really on in the title race.
Kane really concerns me - he looked frightened daft to be wearing the England shirt

Let's hope he doesn't get selected again and he can just continue banging them in for Spurs

Hodgson got so many things wrong and some of them were quite basic errors, he was out of his depth and ultimately it showed. A useless England manager who turned quality players into League One level, he should never have been appointed in the first place.

Any modern day football fan knew he should have never been appointed

How did he manage to keep the job for 4 years?
Please tell us FA!

Hodgson got the job because he wouldn't rock the boat!
The FA do not have a clue...........................they are not looking to appoint Gerrard to the coaching staff, yet he hasn't done a days coaching in his life & has never won anything with England.
If we keep looking backwards, we will never see what the future can bring

Sorry, should be looking to appoint Gerrard

Spot on. He was the 'safe' appointment the FA usually prefers, and he pandered to the so-called big clubs like Arsenal by taking an injured Jack Wilshere, who'd almost not played a single game all season, instead of selecting the in-form Danny Drinkwater; to Liverpool by persisting with the mediocre Jordan Henderson; to Liverpool again by unbelievably bringing back Raheem "£49 million" Sterling for the Iceland game after his shocker against Russia; and to Manchester City by persisting with the inept Joe Hart. These three players' England careers are in ruins and surely over. Add to this putting Harry Kane on corner duty against Russia, and resting six players for the Slovakia game, and you wonder what on earth was going through this "top" coach's sterile brain.
