Allerdyce to be confirmed England Manager.

It's becoming increasingly possible that big Sam will be confirmed as the new England manager within the next 24 hours.

To be honest as soon as Roy resigned, I didn't think anyone else should be given the role. In my opinion he is better suited to the role than anyone else around, no matter what pedigree or nationality they have or are.

Big Sam has the enthusiasm, man management skills, tactical knowhow and the ability to analyse the opposition and organise a team better than any manager around. If confirmed, as seems more than likely, he will now have the best of English players to pick his team from.

This might be a little previous but I wish him all the very best in his new role. A role, in my opinion, he should have had many years ago.

Joke job...good luck with that Sam

I see the knockers don't give a serious alternative. That's because there isn't one.

BSA, good solid choice at the right time.
SWIE you're right, no other choice.

Sam will sort the mess out the media and overpaid failures won't like it he's just what the England set-up needs right now.

There just isn't one....Pelligrini maybe...but we've been there before

No other choices really. Steve bruce interviewed says it all. Eddie howe maybe in the future. Harry too old now, alan pardew? Klinsmann? Couldn't see an englishman managing Germany. Wenger? Never going to break his contract with arsenal. A wildcard could have been rafa benitez but wasn't considered.

I like Cantona's style, comes out with dribble and no explanation why.

Just a note regarding United's new manager, he didn't do too well in his last job. Six months ago no United supporter wanted him and although he has a good track record apart from his last position, he has always spent a fortune on players. What Allerdyce has done, is got the very best from players that he either inherited or paid next to nothing for in comparison to the special one.

It's so easy to mock, isn't it?

Cantona was a good player but a terrible role model. I don't think anyone will forget the two footed kick on a supporter. He should have been jailed for that.

Still we all have our own thoughts on who makes a good role model or a good manager.

Absolutely delighted.

He thoroughly deserves the job. I have a feeling he will sort out the defensive problems first.

Maybe even look for a new keeper.

Sam vows to restore pride in the England team. There is no doubt he is the man to do it.

He looked delighted to be handed the job. A two year contract should be enough for him to prove he is the man for the job. Hopefully we will qualify for the World cup and go on to finish in a respectful position. Win it? I doubt it but a decent show should be enough for him to have his contract extended.
