Both Manchester clubs seem ready to spend the big bucks again this summer. Which one do you think will end up spending the most?
I think if you include signing on fees and agent fees, then it will clearly be Utd.
But let's ignore those and go for straight transfer fees.
So far and possibles/probables
City
Gundogan £20M
Nolito £14M
Zinchenko £2M
Rulli £4M
Mooy £not much
Moreno £6M
Sane£40M
Bonucci £50M
Stones £50M
That's £186M. We may not get them all or we may buy even more players, but that's a starting point.
Utd.
Mkhitaryan £26M
Bailly £30M
Pogba £100M
Fabinho £22M
That's £178M so far.
So, who do you think will spend the most trying to buy the title?
Or will Arsene surprise everyone and open that moth eaten wallet of his?
Which Manchester club will spend most money

If Benatia was that good, Bayern wouldn't have let him go.

Since SAF left we have spent well over 500 million (including a possible Pogba deal) and have 1 Fa Cup to show for it.
I would laugh if I wasn't crying.

They bought him because when he played in Italy he was rated as one of the best defenders in the world.

The way things are going, Liverpool will outspend both, but let's not talk about that

His season was curtailed by injury, and he decided to leave as a point of principle when he determined that the club had lost faith in his capacity to stay fit by signing Hummels.
He's been successful in Italy before. Some players suit certain leagues better than others. I'm sure you know that.

"We could get 3 players for £100m instead of Pogba"
Mane & Wijnaldum £60m
Maybe Troy Deeney with the change.

If he was that good, Bayern wouldn't let him go.
He has missed 23 games through injury and he's played 29 games for Bayern (according to wikipedia).
Bayern play 34 league games each season and at least 10 CL games each season. Add in their cup games and I reckon you get the best part of 50 games each season.
So, out of 100 games Bayern have played in the last 2 seasons, he has featured in 29 and been injured for 23. Basically, he hasn't been selected for about half their games during the last two seasons.
If he was that good, Bayern wouldn't let him go.
