We're being prised out by our targets at the moment, it will take time to unearth/find cheaper alternative.

We've got Kante and Batshuayi currently, I'm confident we'll sign a defender eventually.

And not a defender of the Papy type that will be unfavoured.

Whatever happened to the Bonucci deal ?people complaining that he's 29 ! ,but it would be great if we could get him.

The expense harle.

Just highlights the folly of loaning out Christensen for two seasons to me!

Brummie , I think it would be a bloody sight more expensive if we don't buy a defender of top quality,and end up halfway down the league again .

Christensen's loan of two years/seasons was no mistake or foolish, If that wasn't agreed then 'Gladbach would be less inclined and no incentive to play/develop him.

Get the feeling we could have broken/cut the agreement at end of last season (Gladbach receiving compensation) If club really wanted to have Christensen back here in the first team starting matches (as the parent club we're ultimately in charge of Christensen's destiny) but plan seems to have him here in 17/18 instead.

Well Kante was given the number 7 shirt today so Adidas really screwed up if the story was ever real.

Or maybe they misunderstood "Yes Helmut, the number 7 shirt is going to a bloke we are buying from Leicester but Keep it schtum!" and Helmut assumed the wrong one.

I'm working in Germany at the moment and it turns out that one of the German engineers we're working with is a Munchengladback ST holder and has been telling me how impressed the fans are with him and hoping they can raise the money to sign him permanently.
