Needs some good competition Clichy is solid but not top class and tends to have periods of poor form.

I think they will bring in a new cb before the window closes.
Otamendi was some days very good and some days very bad last year. Considering he was constantly changing cb partner and in a new league I think he could be more consistent in his 2nd season. Also the managers tactics didn't help last year.
I have give up on mangala hope he is sold, even if its at a huge loss.
Denyer deserves a chance, but is obviously untested at this level.
Kompany problems are obvious. But talk he is ready for the new season so just hope he gets over is injuries.
I rate Clichy defensively but isn't great going forward. Like the look of Angelino but was only one game.
Hope kolarov is sold aswel.

Agree Otamendi still has a future here, you dont go from one of the best CBs in La Liga to rubbish in one season.

Mangala is awful he is your modern footballer, great physically but with no brain.

Actually think Angelino would do fine as a number 2 left back, also liked the look of Matteo at RB too which could mean the end of Zaba unfortunately, definitely need at least 1 CB, imagine Otamendi will stay but cannot see Mangala as a Pep type of player, imagine him trying to pass the ball quickly !! Although I thought Tosin Adarabioyo did ok too

I'm not feeling too bad about it in that I think we'll see a significant improvement in some players that could effectively be like a new signing. Some of the players have underrated due to the tactical set up Pellegrini used.

Yes agree with that Pellegrinis niave system left a lot of space to exploit at the back and made players look worse than they are.

Totally agree with Monton there, the 3 lads we used in defence against Bayern deserve at least a squad place.

You've got Guardiola in charge with his weird and wonderful formations.

You'll probably have Delph as some sort of hybrid LB/CB/DM for plenty of games.
