So with the news spreading that Mertesacker is going to be out for half the season and with that probably calling time on his Arsenal career, we have most likely lost the top candidate for the captaincy. Surely Wenger wouldn't give a third successive captaincy to a player that is never on the pitch. With that in mind who do you think will receive it? Will he go for a younger player to try and give them some responsibility or a more experienced head? Third in the chain of command after Arteta and Mertesacker was Cazorla I believe, with Koscielny in forth. What do we reckon. I think Kos will get it.
