Which of these two will get more game time this season?
With the arrival of Granit Xhaka, who seems a definite starter, Wenger can adapt the team to play Xhaka alongside Coquelin or Elneny during tough away games against the likes of Chelsea or even physical beasts like Stoke.
Who though will give way? Either Elneny or Coq is not going to see much game time this season and will probably want a move away from the club.
Thoughts?
Elneny and Coquelin

the ramsey that played for wales kept a decent level of football over a handfull of games with a different team/manager. People going overboard thinking he is going to come back and boss the PL for the whole season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that's why people are saying "IF" that Ramsey comes back. Obviously we're sceptical because we haven't seen that Ramsey since he bossed the league 3 years ago. And only for that season.

Ramsey 15/16 reminded me of alex song in his last season for us. No defensive discipline, constantly bombing forward greedily. Ramsey needs to remember how he endeared himself to us. Even Frank lampard dedicated a whole segment about it on mnf early last season. If anyone knows about it, it's him.
Raises a question aswell, were song and ramsey just following wengers instructions?

Assuming that we have Ozil and Sanchez starting most games and Giroud or a new signing up top, that leaves one wide forward role and 2 CM roles to be filled. Xhaka, Coq, Elneny, Ramsey, Wilshere, Ox, Cazorla, Walcott, Welbeck, Iwobi and Campbell competing for these 3 roles. And on there day any of these could arguably be considered starters, or at least they will all expect to get significant game time..

Campbell will be sold or loaned.
Ox, Wilshere, Walcott and Welbeck will be spending most of the time in the treatment room so although on paper we seem to be loaded, I don't think it will be the case.

Coquelin is too good a DMF for Wenger to rate him. Wenger would rather have Fraudsey run about and smack balls out of play. But hey at least he is being "creative"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the problem. Wenger still fails to understand that a team needs balance. I feel like he is upset at how well Coquelin did as it proved what everyone was saying about needing an enforcer in a team that to be honest are not fond of the physical battle. And as out beloved boss c as nt take criticism, it seems like he is hell bent on proving that we can be successfull playing how he think a purist would play the game with midfielders who do more than just break down play. He wants that box to box cm and Elneny was getting more time on the pitch than Coquelin at the end of last season
So I for one will be dismayed but totally not surprised if Coquelin is benched for a midfield pairing of Ramsey and Xhaka. From what I saw of Xhaka, nothing about him got me thinking he is a special player. So why the hell do we have him when we already have Elneny and ramsay who are box to box?

I sure hope he can be back to his very best and back in amongst the goals. I don't think I've ever seen such a two footed player in my life

Its actually very easy to learn to be two footed. I taught myself to be and have taught loads of kids to be as well and a few adults.
