Midfield we still have Dorrans to call on or Bannan who ate much better players and play at a higher level. Cowie simply ain good enough. And why was mccarthur not called up ? Done alright when he's been called up and getting alot more game time at Wigan

Like to see Bannan in the middle with Fletcher, with Dorrans playing Adam's role but in front of the midfield instead of behind it. Forrest (prefer Commons but not in squad) and Snodgrass out wide. Oh and in the future Craig, how about including an actual lb in the squad of 25 or however many.

Good to hear Adam's out, not for him on a personal note but for the Scotland team as a whole. He has been rank rotten for us almost every time he pulls on the jersey.

Hopefully we'll get some players in who are keen to pass the ball to their team mates, and not into Row Z!

I do like the shape of a 4-2-3-1, I feel if played correctly it gives plenty of defensive cover as well as attacking options and width.

I know this probably comes up every time we play and I know we are not blessed with great centre-backs right now but surely there HAS TO be someone better than Caldwell? I'd rather see Bardsley at centre-back, if fit, and Whittaker left-back. I'd even rather see Levein himself with his dodgy knee ahead of Caldwell

Tonight’s team will be closer to the team I would have liked to have seen play against the Czechs, because Levein's hand is being forced. He will of course employ the players negatively though, which may detract from the better choice of team.

My Choice would be

MacGregor

Bardsley -- Hanley -- Caldwell or Berra -- Crainey

Snodgrass -- Bannan -- Fletcher

I will be happy to see at least Bannan play, as this lad has talent and should play every time for us.

In fact I forgot about Whittaker, so I would replace Crainey with him.

Snodgrass and Dorrans have to play imo its a must win, even tho it might count for nothing
