hope this isn't true think he would be a great signing for us - good reliable Centre-Back with plenty of Preimer League experience and a bargain at the reported £10m. The only small drawback i cant think of is he would another fairley short defender at 6'0

if you go buy a second-hand car at a dealership and the sales rep tells you this ford focus is going to be £20k
do you accept that or try get a better price?
-----------
If i was a multi Millionnaire quite frankly i wouldnt really give a damn about haggling. If the price is 20k i pay 20k afterall what is a couple of thousand to me.
Haggling and wasting us time could end up costing us 3-6 points before the window closes and that could be the difference between 1st and 2nd or in Arsenals case 4th and 5th.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
but then y'all laugh and moan at clubs like Chelsea / Man City for paying over the odds to get the targets they want...
can't have it both ways
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't think anyone does that anymore. Pogba for £100m? Thats one big mistake by Man Utd allowing Pogba to leave.

Totally agree.
That is our season you summed up in 2 paragraphs. That's what we have been doing since last decade...not re-enforcing in the areas where we are weak. Rather Club and Wenger like to boast how well the club is run from profits. finances POV.

No one moaning at City and Chelsea, They identify targets and pay round bound asking price and snap the target off the market.
What we do,
Cahill - foolish Wenger put the bid in something like £2m ? whilst Bolton were asking £8m...who does that sort of nonsense business? especially affluent club like Arsenal?
Lacazette - WHU had bid of £33m? why the fek Wenger went and put the bid of £29.4m? forget values for time being, we put the bid in which was less than rejected bid of WHU. That is complete disrespect.
There must be good few examples like that where Wenger have feecked up targets royally.
I must admit, when it comes to selling someone, he does good job but that hardly helps knowing he should get a grip and sign quickly.

How come City, Chelsea sign players from right left centre and we take ages?
------
City have signed a crock in Gundogen, an Aussie they have sent out on loan to Huddersfield, a player who was playing with Frimpong last season for Ufa and Nolito.
Not sure how that is something to be envious of, pretty similar to our work.

Inaccurate figures, and wrongly established timeline

Oh, just seen Sane has gone through after a long drawn out pursuit of him by City.

How can you compare City to us? They are trying to improve squad by addition of quality players on the top of good squad they have...they already have world class players in Ageuro, Silva, KDB. On other side, we are trying to fix the gaps in our first 11. There is a big difference.

It's crazy that John Stones who is an unproven defender is valued at £50 milllion. He's had a few seasons at Everton but last season he was very very average and not even a regular in the England team (yet) then you get Ashley Williams that has been succesful for Swansea in the past 4 years or so, Welsh International and Wales captain valued at £10 million. I personally feel that Stones should be valued around £10 million realistically mayve £15 million at a push and Ashley Williams should be valued around £20 million.
