....get used to it. Our new Central Defender is Coquelin. Being trained for the position now. 2 new midfielders Elneny and Xhaka and 3 promising young players for the future. What more can you want? Carzola and Oxlade Chamberlain are like 2 new players and Walcott is raring to go on the wing - very hard to play against and one of the best players in the world apparently. Whilst Wenger waits for all the bargains to materialise on August 30th, the Season starts in a week. No worries then.

That is why he has played there so much in pre-season ahead of Chambers, Holding and Bielik.

Even excusing the OP's sarcasm, what is it with Arsenal and getting in the players we need before the start of the season.
Our transfer strategy is just pathetic and beggars belief for a club our size.

I wonder if we'll ever get a new version of the old cricket commentary of "The batsmans Holding the bowlers Willey"

Akpom not being spectacular looks good enough to get goals for Arsenal. Our midfielders will have a treat with player of his size making those runs. I am sure he will develop into okays player who will be good enough due to the quality of Arsneal’s midfield.
By no means does this mean we should not go after a striker but Akpom will be ok as he develops into decent squad player..until we find the right striker.

The goals Akpom scored were easy tap ins.
Although it's encouraging he seems to get into the right places to score

Until we find the right striker? We've had years to find the right striker but Wenger seems to be happy to stick with le statue.

Absolutely true. I know it is hard to separate truth from sarcasm sometimes, but yes, Coquelin is being lined up for centre half.

In the past Wenger messed up big time but this season..Striker’s market is scarce...I don’t see where he will find one for the money he is ‘willing’ to pay.
Another option is to get rid of Theo which would free up wages and add some revenue and go for PEA or someone of similar Ilk with big fee and keep Akpom as understudy.

We could do worse. 3 goals in 3 games
