Frivolous facts for football Fridays

Genuinely delighted that we Otep back in charge of HIS predictor league. Thought I would use my free time to throw in a few weird and wonderful observations!

No previous competitive meetings between the two clubs but plenty of history with our manager having played over 300 times for our first Championship opponents. Given his debut by his dad, of course, but any early cries of nepotism against the "young man" invariably described as "our number nine" have long been eclipsed by the 102 goals that make our Nigel second only to Joe Baker in the all time Forest goalscorers table.

Long time right hand man Gary Crosby also wore the red on 152 occasions, scoring 12 goals.

More recently, Chris O'Grady spent last season on loan at the City Ground, starting 15, with 6 substitute appearances, finding the net twice.

Exchanging red for black and yellow was Tyler Walker, starting once for the Brewers with five entries form the bench and that memorable last minute flick against Bury which made the last day slightly less challenging.

Lots of opportunities for history makers tomorrow. Like a kid before Christmas tonight. Is it really only eight summers since we opened our season at Salisbury City?
