So 6 goals today with 4 being scored by our 3 strikers and 2 crackers by Alli & Lamela.
So question is are we ready for Everton or not?
There's a massive question mark in the centre of our midfield IMO. Who partners Dier?
Waynama- similar player to Dier with limitations with the ball.
Mason- All running with actually very little impact
Winks- great passer of the ball not bad in tackle but very much a big risk.
So who would you go for and why?
Side note- I think Lamela is getting better and better and needs to be hitting double figures in terms of goals and assists in the league. Turned into a great & important player for us
Are we ready?

I would definitely go with Wanyama and Dier against Everton, need to be solid from the off. Cannot see Wimmer being started with no pre-season under his belt.

I do worry about our central midfield without a dominant ball manipulator like Dembele. Yes , we won handsomely yesterday but Inter gave us a good run around and were more than a match for us in the 1st half . We just never kept the ball enough when they pressed us. It was only in the second half when there were numerous substitutions and I believe our superior fitness told that the game fell away .
We saw the last game debacle against Newcastle where we could barely keep the ball when Newcastle swarmed over us. imo, that side of our game is a worry . The side against Everton won't be much different to the Newcastle one .

As ready as we can be. Should we sign anyone between now and kick-off I doubt they'll be ready to play. Wanyama and Dier isn't the most forward-thinking midfield but we have little/no choice. Mason and Carroll aren't worthy of league football.

I do not like the idea of Wanyama and Dier together. It is the sort of thing you see from Tony Pulis. Neither are going to carry the ball out of our half and players may well have to drop deep to get the ball.
For all Mason's limitations he is far better than either at doing that job. A round peg in a round hole which does not alter our style.
So for me it is either Mason or Onomah, or we pull Alli back and put Kane at 10 with Janssen

Have you not seen Mason this preseason
He's been absolutely shocking and IMO is behind winks now.

If Wanyama and Dier is too similar then it's up to the club to pull their finger out and go and bring someone else in who can be a more progressive midfielder. Mason and Carroll simply aren't good enough. Poch needs to be ruthless with them, just because they behave themselves it doesn't mean they should play.

I'm not really interested about pre-season, they are fitness exerscises.
I know what he can do. He is not a world beater, but he is better at fetching and carrying than either Dier or Wanyama in my opinion.
Do we need to be more defensively sound? I would say no, as we are pretty solid as it is. Playing both Wanyama and Dier leaves a huge hole between them and the front four for me.
If Mason is behind Winks then Winks it is. Or Onomah. Or Alli. Or Eriksen.
Just not Dier and Wanyama like some relegation side

The only time I want to see them starting is in a full blown 343 or 352
Not for me

Would say both Waynama & Dier are as good on the ball as Mason tbh both not nearly as bad as people make out.
Baring in mind we'll might also be playing CCV as the RCB having 2 ball winners in midfield probably makes sense than having 1.

Walker CCV Toby Rose
------ Dier Waynama
--------- Eriksen
Lamela Kane Alli
Something like that would be good IMO
