Anyone else catch the snippet of interview with Harry, over on the BBC Football page?
He reiterated his bizarre love for Crouch and said that he isn't looking to sell him. That will sink many Spurs hearts.
He did mention that he is looking to bring in "a striker" and he said that Crouch is not one of the strikers who would be leaving. It was a curious comment because he hadn't been asked if he was looking to sell a striker.
He also referred to Sunderland's sale of Henderson, and jokingly mooted the possibility that Bruce would be calling him to buy "a couple" of players. Many a word is spoken in jest, so I think that Harry is well up for selling a striker and another player to Sunderland.
Given that Harry appears to be looking to sell only one striker to Sunderland, who would you rather it be: Defoe, Pav or Keane? And who do you think the other player will be?
I reckon he'll be looking to off-load Keane to Sunderland, and possibly also Bentley.
Also, I know that Harry said he will sell only one striker, but I'm betting that if Arsenal came in for an offer of around £12-£14 million for Defoe, he'd be tempted.
What do you guys reckon?
Crouch to stay. Defoe, Keane and Pav?

Why would the Goons bid for Defoe? And would he even go?! That would be a surreal situation!

There was a rumour this morning that Martin Jol might be interested in Not So. Have to wait and see if there's anything in it.

I just cant get excited when i see Crouch's name on the team sheet
nothing against crouch but this is exactly my feeling, i know when he plays we will inevitably end up going long to crouch, which if we want to get top 4 isnt going to work. i know he has scored some big goals for us but i still mantain if he was a foot shorter there is now way he would be playing top level football.

It's unreal ain't it RRP. Everyone can clearly see our strikers are not good enough and we need some top class forwards this summer. I still believe it's all mind games with Redknapp when he talks about how great our strikers are. I think we will get 2 top strikers in ( hopefully) because if we don't then we might aswell forget about next seasons ambition of breaking the top 4. I would Keep Pav out of them all but even if Pav went i wouldn't be gutted or anything. We need Quality up top and Les Ferdinand is obviously not from planet earth if he thinks our current strikeforce are good enough I think that Les trying to divert the attention on the cr ap job he's done as striking coach!!

Morning Don
Maybe it is mind games with what Harry is saying, but i dont want mind games, i want to know he can see what we all see with Crouch not actually being a footballer
We all all these striker coaches with Sherwood and Ferdinand, how exactly have they earnt there wages this year?
You need to ask yourself, if Harry was in charge of us a few years ago would we have actually signed Modric?!?! I can quite easily say no, Harry wouldn't have wanted him, and that says it all really
Im still waiting to be proved wrong, and i hope im proved so much to be wrong that i want to hide away

To the sunderland supporter above....... I think you should be more worried about Sunderland getting Crouch ..... But speaking about Defoe. I would Swap Defoe for Gyan in a heartbeat. although i still think we should be looking at sligt better calibur of striker than Gyan but i still think Gyans better than any striker we got currently!!

He certainly is, Don and I honestly wouldn't want any of 'Spurs strikers

Well Gordon, Bruce is a big fan of crouch so you never know Personally mate if were going to get back in the top 4 again then players like Falcoa/ Drogba are the strikers we should be looking at. They will be hard to get no doubt but are not completely unrealistic for our club. Players like Aguero etc i will admit are unrealistic targets at the moment. Gyan to me is a very good player but not the calibur of striker needed for spurs to push on although if we were to get Gyan and Falcao i wouldn't complain

I figured Crouch would be staying after his own interview about England etc. Said he was happy here and that he's not heard anything about any rumours linking him with other clubs.
What a sad state we've got ourselves in that such a poor goalscorer should be seen as a key player in Harry's plans.
