Stewart Robson is at it again, the man truly hates Wenger, how he's still employed by us is intriguing. Firstly, he goes on about how Gael Clichy has more bite than Santos (new LB) and that losing Clichy has weaken us.
He also thinks Benayoun and Arteta are average and we have not replaced Nasri and Fabregas. Cesc was top class and hard to replace, but Nasri, pffffff, give us a break, the guy who had 3 months good spell in three years, give us a break. Cesc was a 15 goals and assist a season, so we will miss his class, i don't think Gael or Nasri added any BITE.
Stewart Robson, Clichy better than Santos!

Aggers right elbow, clichy wouldn't have made a difference at all. Plus we didn't have Gibbs OR santos for that game, but a poor traore who is now at QPR.

I haven't seen much of Santos but when I've seen him play he reminds me of Clichy, good going forward but a bit suspect in defence. To me the balance of the Arsenal defence is all over the place.
Sagna is quality. Supertanker is good if he defends the penalty box but Arsenal like to push up. I like Verm but with Santos added to the mix I can see you shipping plenty of goals with two players never having played together or in the Premiership.
But you will avoid a smoting like Man U handed out at least!

Clichy's defending could be so half hearted but we've yet to see Santos's defending. Gibbs, if he could possibly ever stay fit, will be a very good left back. If Santos has a few mare's he could play left wing with Gibbs back.

35 goals in 7 season, in your estimate he'd be on 105 goals.

Lets judge our signings at the end of the season.
At the end of the day what these players have done for their national team matters not (otherwise David Healy>Lionel Messi).
Nor does what they have done in other leagues or at other clubs. Veron was world class before he stepped into the Premiership, and showed a return to form when he left, whereas others have excelled in the PL after being nothing special elsewhere (Eric Cantona?!)
The signings have all shown a very decent level of ability, most have multiple caps and Arteta has been consistantly good in PL.
Lets at least have a look at them before making harsh judgements!!

With all the talk of who's right or wrong.....nobody has ever seen Santos play for Arsenal, so all the talk about how his performances will be in an Arsenal shirt as opposed to Clichy's is hardly valid just yet !
