Team for liverpool

So assuming we won't buy anyone before the Liverpool game, who do we think makes the team?

I think Wenger will go with

Cech
Bellerin Koscielny Chambers Monreal
Xhaka Elneny
Oxlade-Chamberlain Ramsey Iwobi
Alexis

Subs: Ospina, Holding, Gibbs, Coquelin, Cazorla, Campbell, Walcott

I also think that team will win

Leaving Santi out

Ings is a good asset with a decent strike rate. He puts defenders under loads of pressure and that suits out style.

Origi is looking mustard. Rapid, strong, grafter and good shot selection.

If hI'm and Mane can stretch things then I fancy Coutinho and Firmino to do some damage on Sunday.

I don't think we'll have huge amounts of posession but we have a punchers chance for once.

You've always had a puncher's chance and shaded last season at the Emirates in my opinion (first half you bossed it).

If it was at Anfield I'd favour your boys but it aint so can't see you beating us.

We've not really had fit mobile strikers for three years. We've a few now and a false 9 (hate that phrase tbh) in Firmino.

Best set of strikers I've seen available (and that's the important bit) since Suarez left and we actually have more depth than then as well.

Also Wijnaldum and Mane to add some goals as well (we had to bring on Ibe and Rossiter on last season at the Emirates - hardly game changing).

I'm confident but a ball has not been kicked yet so we will have to see.

Never quite realised that Mert and Gabrie being injured means Chambers gets his chance.I personal think he has the quality, lets see how he does.I would start Kos to be frank. I dont think Holding is ready

Liverpool will be a handful but they have one of the worst defences among the top teams so we will score goals

I'm hoping the defence will be a fair bit better. I like the look of Klavan tbh! He played ever so well against Barca although I recognise it was a friendly.

Gutted Karius has broken his hand though. I don't think Matip will start due to fitness.

Leaving Santi out

--------

Cazorla is clearly suffering from tendonitis in his achilles post knee injury. Wenger has said as much that he needs to have his fitness managed. Think we will see a lot less of Cazorla this season and his involvement being reduced a lot more to substitute appearances. I would have him in there in an instant but I was predicting who Wenger would pick.

Expect Kos & Santi will be on bench plus Arsene always randomly plays Nacho CB when everyone is crippled

This looks about right. No real playmaker though so could be a side which hits on the counter attack at speed. Our success will be heavily reliant on Xhaka and Elneny helping out the defence
