IOC & IPC

The decisions against/for Russia, what do you all think.

Sorry I realise this is not a football question but wanted to know what you all thought. My thoughts are IOC got it right while IPC have not.

Let me explain the Olympic movement is not government or political in any way (well are not meant to be) and I think a lot of people have missed this. You cannot have a blanket ban on a country it is just not fair to those athletes that have worked incredibly hard to get where they have cleanly. I agree that it is not fair for those that have cheated but that should be done on a case by case basis. Not all the Russian althelets would have been state sponsored and as a result will probably not have been taking any drugs. Would it be fair to them. Lets put it a different way if this was to happen to Team GB and the IOC put a blanket ban, believe me lots of people will be dismayed at it as they did not do anything wrong. I personally feel that IPC have missed the ball on this.

I think that the state was funding a doping programme, so they should be banned.

Not the athletes fault, why should they be punished

It wasn't a small minority who cheated. So now we have Russians competing who almost certainly are doping.

I guess that can be said of every nation mind you

Again case by Case, and not all have been doping. Like I said if we were to flip this. Mo Farah training in the US nothing to do with GB state athletics. If GB were in Russia position would this be fair. What about Greg Rutherford who had no help from BOA or UKA would that have been fair to him. No so why is it any different with Russia
