Tonight wanderers travel to Blackpool for the 1st round of the efl cup. The eventual prize is a trip to Wembley, a trophy and a place in next seasons europa league. Of course this is highly improbable but as phil parkinson took his Bradford team to Wembley we can dream of the same. Also this is a repeat of the 1953 cup final (always gets mentioned in the press when the 2 teams meet in a cup tie). Blackpool managed by ex Blackburn manager will be a tough game, won their first match in league 2 on Saturday v exeter. I am predicting a draw at full time and extra time and penalties tonight. Team news. Pratley, dervite and clough are out injured. Wheater and buxton rested. It is unknown yet if clayton will be fit or spearing who was limping around after the match on Saturday. A host of changes expected according to tbe beano with amos, derik, finney, walker, woolery and trotter to come in. My prediction of the team. Amos, derik, finney, beevers, moxey. Wilson, vela, trotter, davies, walker. Woolery. 7.45 kick off and commentary on tower fm 107.5 fm.

Another left back just what we need and he sounds like a good player at this level.
But until we get someone in who can hit the back of the net, we are going to struggle big time, and has now got to be the next signing

7 signings. Not bad considering the embargo. Still need more. A right winger essential. Also a striker. Advice to pp. Forget madine. A striker who can't score is a liability. Hopefully proctor and woolery get a run instead of him.

Does make you wander what the Blagg is and how the FL have fallen for it this is one which could return and bite us on the rear. All part of trying to get to this time next year is my guess but at what cost we'll need to replace the loans and high earners then and anybody else sold or released.

Pasty no fly fishing tackle and no season ticket. A new Kindle paperwhite, a book by David Hall, Work Town, which is a story of a 1930s project that launched a mass- observation project in Bolton. Not read it as yet but skimming through it some good photos of life in the town during the 30s and although I wasn't born then, some interesting details of a lost way of life of ordinary working people in industrialised Britain.
Also an expensive bottle of Rioja.

I see the Peterborough game in November is to be televised on Sky. The club might get a few quid for that.

I doubt the TV money will very go far these days will it stretch to cover the cost of the travel and hotel for the game that's being covered at Peterborough.
