can anyone explain to me why we have to pay compensation for buying Bennnett
Doncaster must pay Bury up to £180,000

That is what he's cost us, we couldn't agree a fee with Bury and because he was under 24 they're entitled to compensation. We haven't paid for him and had to pay compensation as well

the 20% sell on clause is a bit steep maybe we should have not played him till after the tribunal lol

Ouch! Maybe folk will now understand why we didn't sign Vine or ALF. Another large wedge of playing budget that not many knew about.

I expected him to have cost about £150,000 tbh
Apparently the Vine deal would have been mainly funded by QPR
And I honestly didn't get the fuss about ALF, Reading had the £6M plus from Long's transfer so the £350,000 wasn't a huge amount to risk but it would have been a huge amount to us. Alex Revell came in in his place at Rotherham and scored 2 on his debut
I remember Watford having the fee for Danny Graham decided by tribunal and look what he eventually got sold for

Looking at the amounts we have to pay after certain numbers of appearances i guess he will be on the bench a few more times than he perhaps might have been otherwise.

I agree. it could take a few years to pay this off
